Concern is increasing about the prevalence of a large group of chemicals called per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and microplastics and nano-plastics, the tiny particles dispersed from weathering of plastics. Faculty will examine sources, exposure routes, and health effects of these pollutants as well as how to counsel families on decreasing their exposure.
