The Dr. Yum Project is a pediatrician-founded nonprofit that empowers families—especially those in high-risk communities—with the tools to raise adventurous, healthy eaters while advancing sustainable food practices. Through evidence-based programs like Dr. Yum’s Food Adventure (now in schools in over 40 states) and the new Touchpoints program which supports pediatricians and their patients, we integrate child development principles into food education, helping children learn to "practice" and enjoy nourishing foods. By combating food waste both in schools and at home, our approach promotes a scalable model, multigenerational wellness, and environmental stewardship—ensuring that our most vulnerable children are nourished today and our planet is sustained for generations to come.
